The North Central Nebraska RC&D met on Wednesday in Bassett for a regular monthly meeting. During the Sandhills Ranch Expo in Bassett, the North Central Nebraska RC&D hosted a battery recycling collection as part of Nebraska’s efforts to expand safe battery recycling across the state. Residents were able to bring in unwanted household batteries, rechargeable power tool batteries, and cell phones to have them handled through the proper recycling process.
