The hike, guided by local expert Mitchell Dech, is all about spotting and foraging wild edible plants, trees, buds, and flowers that grow in our region. The hike will be about 2 miles, and participants are encouraged to wear good shoes for moderate hiking, bring a cloth bag or basket for harvesting, and wear appropriate clothes for whatever the weather brings, as it will take place rain or shine. #FayetteCounty #WOAY

Starting August 31, the school is using a new text-based system that will alert parents when their child is absent. Parents can reply by text to confirm an absence, provide a reason, ask questions, or even send a photo of a parent or doctor’s note. #FayetteCounty #WOAY
