The criminal investigation involves Eric James, 53, who served as principal of Brooke High School in Wellsburg. The superintendent has removed the school’s principal, 53-year-old Eric Michael James, suspending him from employment pending further proceedings. James is now facing charges including intentionally intercepting or attempting to intercept wire, oral, or electronic communication and breaking and entering a non-residential property.
