School administrators immediately suspended a West Virginia high school principal Wednesday after officials reportedly discovered recording devices placed in multiple locker rooms. The criminal investigation involves Eric James, 53, who served as principal of Brooke High School in Wellsburg. Officials said four devices were found in the female physical education locker rooms, including a separate locker room and another dressing area used by the school’s dance team, according to WTOV 9. &#

Brooke County Sheriff Richard Beatty said Eric James could be seen on the footage adjusting the angle of a hidden camera in a girls dressing area at the high school. The superintendent has removed the school’s principal, 53-year-old Eric Michael James, suspending him from employment pending further proceedings.  James is now facing charges including intentionally intercepting or attempting to intercept wire, oral, or electronic communication and breaking and entering a non-residential property. His bond is set at $100,000. School officials say they are cooperating with law enforcement while also conducting their own investigation.  #BrookeCounty #WOAY
