Cleanup is underway in Emery County after a massive surge of floodwater tore through communities along Cottonwood Creek in Orangeville, leaving behind mud, trees, debris and significant damage.

The National Weather Service was determining whether a tornado touched down in Millard County, while Emery County experienced flooding after intense storms struck Utah on Saturday.

The American Red Cross has set up an emergency shelter at the Latter-day Saint church meetinghouse on Main Street in Orangeville.

Multiple locations across Emery County have flooded following large storms across southern Utah. A flash flood warning was issued by the National Weather Service for multiple counties in southern Utah.
