(Provo, UT) — A Utah judge says the man accused of killing conservative activist Charlie Kirk can go on trial for capital murder. A district judge in Provo made that ruling Tuesday after hearing the prosecution lay out what it called “overwhelming” evidence against Tyler Robinson. Capital murder allows the prosecution to pursue the death penalty. Robinson is accused of fatally shooting Kirk last September at a political event near Salt Lake City.
