Menno saw its season come to an end in the opening round of the Region 4B Volleyball Tournament Monday night as the No. 10 Wolves fell to No. 7 Viborg-Hurley at Viborg. The Cougars won 25-12, 25-14, 25-22 and take a 16-12 record into tonight's second-round match against No. 1 Gayville-Volin. Menno finishes its season 3-26, with its only wins coming against Canistota and twice against Scotland.

Menno senior Ashlynn Fergen (8) and the Wolves will be back in action tonight, Monday, Nov. 2, as the Region 4B Volleyball Tournament gets underway. Menno (3-25) is the No. 10 seed in the 10-team region and will visit Viborg-Hurley (15-12), which goes into the match as the No. 7 seed. Action begins at 7 p.m. in Viborg. The other opening-round match scheduled for Monday is No. 8 Alcester-Hudson (6-17) against No. 9 Scotland (5-12).

Freeman scored on every possession while holding Scotland/Menno to just 74 yards of total offense in a runaway 56-0 win in the opening round of the Class 9A playoffs Thursday night, Oct. 22, in Freeman.
