So much flooding around the region on Monday evening. This photo from St. Marys Parks and Recreation shows the aftermath of the storm.

The library received a significant amount of water damage due to the flooding. At one point water was coming through the outside doors and down the stairs. There was water above the staff’s ankles as they were trying to elevate items to protect them from damage. The library will be closed Tuesday, July 7th as we contact our insurance and find a professional cleaning company. The children’s room and lower level will remain closed indefinitely. All the carpets and baseboards need replaced. I.

City police in St. Marys reported filing charges of harassment against Edwin Flores-Castro on July 4th. Policer report that Flores-Castro was involved in a domestic incident that resulted in the arrest. Charges were filed.
