The change begins June 12. KBRB Ainsworth - The Brown County Sheriff’s Department is temporarily moving to modified hours of operation in the administrative office due to staffing shortages. Beginning Friday, June 12, the administrative office in the sheriff’s department will be open from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. Monday through Friday. A memorial service for Arch J. Ferguson, 86, of Wood Lake, will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 13, in the Brown County Fairgrounds arena at Johnstown. Arch Ferguson died Tuesday, June 2, in his home. The family will receive friends from 4 until 7 p.m. Friday in the Johnstown Community Hall.
