Firefighters from Sharptown were called for a garage fire in Mardela Springs just after 11 Sunday night. Crews arriving at Laurel Road residence found fire in the garage area of a single-story rancher-style home. Fire crews from multiple neighboring companies from Wicomico, Dorchester and Sussex County helped to battle the blaze or provide backup.
