A 20-year-old South Bend man has pleaded guilty in connection with a shooting near Laurel Woods in August 2025. Tommy Gatheright pleaded guilty Thursday to a Level 3 felony count of aiding, inducing or causing aggravated battery. He also admitted to a firearm sentencing enhancement as part of the plea agreement. A sentencing hearing is scheduled for Nov. 18. The judge may accept or reject the agreement at that hearing.
