The late June shooting that claimed the life of a 49-year-old Plano woman has been determined an accident after her father unintentionally fired the gun, the Madison County Sheriff’s Office announced in an update Tuesday.

Fire crews in Madison County have gained the upper hand on the nearly 1,300-acre Maze Fire. As of 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, firefighters have successfully contained approximately 25% of the fast-moving blaze.
