11/4 Voters in Yavapai County Tuesday elected Marie Moore to the District-2 Supervisor’s seat. Bill Risen is the Bagdad/Yarnell Constable. Ed Cocchiola is the Justice of the Peace in Mayer. Justice of the Peace in Seligman went to Ben Emery. Camp Verde chose Gary Thompson as Mayor with Patricia Seybold, Tanner Bryson and Jackie Baker in the lead for 3-council seats. Shayna Feinman was reported missing in March of 2024 from Seligman, Arizona.

10/22 Seligman Fire and YCSO responded to a swift water rescue Wednesday. A husband and wife attempted to cross a flooded area and their pickup was swept away and pinned against a tree. As the husband attempted to help his wife out of the truck, he was swept away. Fire officials say the man made it out of the water about a half-mile away, while rescuers brought his wife to safety. A swift water team then returned to the truck to save the couple’s 7-dogs.

10/14 ADOT says westbound I-40 has single, alternating lane closures, near Williamson Valley Road in Seligman. Crews are paving now through October 22-nd. Work is being done from 6-am to 5:30-pm, Mondays through Fridays. Short delays are possible.
