8/25 Tonto National Forest issued their final update on the Bluebird Fire Monday afternoon. The fire is 90% contained. At last report, the lighting sparked fire burned 300-acres northeast of Roosevelt Lake and Tonto Basin.

A lightning-caused fire, called the Bluebird Fire, is burning near Forest Service Roads 71, 425, and 896 in the Tonto Basin Ranger District.
8/19 Arizona Forestry and Tonto National Forest are working the Six Fire in Six Shooter Canyon, south of Globe. The lightning caused fire started at around 4:30 Monday afternoon in an RV park and then spread onto the Tonto National Forest. The fire has charred an estimated 50-acres. Officials say 3-additional lightning caused fires were quickly doused, but the Bluebird Fire, near Tonto Basin, was being monitored overnight with resources arriving today.
