9/4 Camp Verde says work will begin on the Verde Lakes Drive Sidewalk Improvements project Tuesday. Crews will be working on sidewalk and curb improvements along the west side of Verde Lakes Drive, between Highway-260 and Catclaw Drive. Construction is expected to last about 4-months. Traffic delays, temporary lane closures and parking restrictions should be expected for the duration of the project.

9/4 Prescott Police were involved in 3-pursuits with the same driver early Thursday morning. Officials say an officer attempted to stop 25-year-old Cheyenne Kincheenie as he pulled away from a bar on East Gurley Street. The Chandler man sped away from the officer, who called off the pursuit, but continued to search for the vehicle. Officials say there are currently 77-large fires being suppressed across the U.S. with 18,400-peronnel assigned to the fires. The National Preparedness level was reduced due to improving fire weather conditions across multiple geographic areas and a significant decline in orders for resources.
